This acft score calculator is designed to compute and evaluate scores for the Army Combat Fitness Test, ACFT has replaced the previous APFT.
The ACFT comprises six events that measure various aspects of physical fitness:
- 3-Repetition Maximum Deadlift (MDL)
- Standing Power Throw (SPT)
- Hand-Release Push-Ups (HRP)
- Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC)
- Plank (PLK)
- 2-Mile Run (2MR)
ACFT Calculator
Performance Level | MDL (lbs) | SPT (m) | HRP (reps) | SDC (sec) | PLK (sec) | 2MR (sec) | Total Score |

Outstanding | 380 | 12.5 | 60 | 75 | 270 | 780 | 597.00 |
ACFT Score Calculation Formula
The ACFT scoring system utilizes a 100-point scale for each event, with a maximum total score of 600 points. The calculation formula varies for each event but generally follows this pattern:
Event Score = Base Score + (Performance Delta * Point Multiplier)
Where:
- Base Score: The minimum score for the event (usually 60 points)
- Performance Delta: The difference between the soldier’s performance and the minimum standard
- Point Multiplier: A factor that converts the performance delta into additional points
3-Repetition Maximum Deadlift (MDL):
Score = 60 + ((Weight Lifted - Minimum Weight) / 10)
Standing Power Throw (SPT):
Score = 60 + ((Distance Thrown - Minimum Distance) * 2)
Hand-Release Push-Ups (HRP):
Score = 60 + (Repetitions Completed - Minimum Repetitions)
Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC):
Score = 60 + ((Maximum Time - Completion Time) * 0.5)
Plank (PLK):
Score = 60 + ((Time Held - Minimum Time) * 0.05)
2-Mile Run (2MR):
Score = 60 + ((Maximum Time - Completion Time) * 0.12)
How is the ACFT Score Calculated?
- Record raw performance data for each event
- Apply the specific formula for each event to calculate individual event scores
- Sum the six event scores to obtain the total ACFT score
Example Soldier Performance:
- MDL: 340 lbs
- SPT: 10.5 meters
- HRP: 53 repetitions
- SDC: 1:33 (93 seconds)
- PLK: 3:15 (195 seconds)
- 2MR: 14:33 (873 seconds)
Calculating Individual Event Scores:
- MDL: 60 + ((340 – 140) / 10) = 80 points
- SPT: 60 + ((10.5 – 4.5) 2) = *72 points
- HRP: 60 + (53 – 10) = 103 points
- SDC: 60 + ((120 – 93) 0.5) = *73.5 points
- PLK: 60 + ((195 – 120) 0.05) = *63.75 points
- 2MR: 60 + ((1200 – 873) 0.12) = *99.24 points
Total ACFT Score:
Sum of all event scores: 80 + 72 + 103 + 73.5 + 63.75 + 99.24 = 491.49 points
What is a Good ACFT Score?
Good ACFT score depends on soldier’s age, gender, and military occupational specialty (MOS).
- Below 360: Needs significant improvement
- 360-459: Meets minimum standards
- 460-499: Good performance
- 500-539: Excellent performance
- 540-600: Outstanding performance
